| History | Nipaipo is characterised by its intricate and flowing hand techniques, evasive footwork, and techniques that emphasise joint manipulation, trapping, and rapid-fire strikes, derived from White Crane boxing. It was transmitted to Kenwa Mabuni through the Chinese martial artist Go Kenki (Wu Xianhui), who lived in Okinawa. A version of this kata was adopted into Shōtōkan as Nijuhachiho. |
